5-6 Hours for this beaut. I love Pocket Battleships, Faster then Stronger Ships, and Stronger then Faster Ships. The perfect ship if you ask me. But then there are Carriers and Submarines. This is a Super Admiral Graf Spee to be honest. Comments are always welcomed.

Looks great and I like these small battleships, perfect for commerce raiding :)

Same here, I just think of them as heavily armed cruisers though.

All the Deutchland class was were basically heavy cruisers with guns from battlecruisers. Ultimately, they lacked effective intermediate guns for dealing with smaller targets, and most notably, they lacked AA defenses the same Achilles Heel it shared with the Bismark and to a lesser extent with the Tirpitz.

Yea, that is what got me thinking while I drew this ship: "This thing sure barely has any secondary stuff." It had the weight and power to have more stuff on it though.

Its main purpose was the same as a Destroyer's ORIGINAL purpose and a Heavy Cruiser's TRUE purpose: harass commerce

But still, it needed more guns. Nearly ever Navy in the world at that time had everything from torpedo boats to aircraft carriers and stuff in between. And the keyword there is Nearly.

Exactly; stupid Germany cancelling the Graf Zeppelin. If the Germans could have formed a fleet, with the Graf Zeppelin, Bismark, Scharnhorst, Gniesenau and the Deutchsland-class at the nucleus, Britain would have been in real trouble when combined with the U-Boat threat.

Should have seen the size of the fleet in Plan Z, and it was about to happen. Most of the ships in that plan already had their keels laid down by 1939.

But of course, Germany became complacent because things were easy at first.

Well, Hitler said this: "Continue with Plan Z UNLESS the war starts." And guess what, the war started.
